Adsorbents / Bleaching clays are used for color remediation in color remediation chambers (filtration bed style) and Color remediation chromatography columns (pre charged chromatography)

Color remediation is the process of removing pigments as well as fats and oils that would otherwise saturate the end product. These impurities pass through a filtration bed of bleaching medias which capture the pigments and fats. The filtration media is typically in a granular or powder form and can be as small as 1 micron. A 1-micron sintered mesh filter is used to then filter out the bleaching media. The remediated miscella is then transferred to a collection base for solvent recovery
