Color remediation is the process of removing pigments as well as fats and oils that would otherwise saturate the end product. These impurities pass through a filtration bed of bleaching medias which capture the pigments and fats. The filtration media is typically in a granular or powder form and can be as small as 1 micron. A 1-micron sintered mesh filter is used to then filter out the bleaching media. The remediated miscella is then transferred to a collection base for solvent recovery.
